Sauce is a restaurant dynamic pricing platform that enables merchants to protect margins and grow sales by reacting faster to changes in the market.
Sauce analyzes restaurant orders, customers, competitors, and demand to determine optimal prices at specific times for restaurants. Sauce enables restaurants to generate and implement dynamic pricing strategies across their locations easily and automatically. Sauce seamlessly integrates with restaurant delivery systems, POS, and menu services to automatically pull in data and adjust prices.
Sauce determines pricing strategies based on demand levels. During busy periods when demand is high, prices may increase, boosting average ticket sizes and profitability. During slow periods when demand is low, menu prices may be lowered in effort to increase the number of delivery orders and improve conversion rates. By closely monitoring market conditions and customer demand, restaurants on Sauce can effectively implement dynamic pricing strategies to optimize revenue and profitability, along with conversion rates and customer retention.
Many restaurants on the platform have been updating prices hourly for years with strong continued sales performance. Most restaurants on Sauce don’t see much of a response or negative reaction from customers when they turn on dynamic pricing. If you are worried about a customer reaction, it’s best to start small with a simple strategy, using small price changes (e.g. 5-10%).
Sauce pricing strategies are location-specific by default. If you use a single menu across all locations, you can request a pricing strategy for the brand at-large.

Sauce will run automatically on its own once your pricing strategies are set up. We recommend checking in occasionally to view metrics and evaluate recommended strategy adjustments that can help you further achieve your goals.
You have the choice to approve Sauce generated strategies, or to update them based on your custom parameters.
You have the ability to determine how much your prices fluctuate, and in which direction. The best strategies include both price increases and decreases, though some restaurants may choose to only increase prices, or only decrease prices. Most restaurants on Sauce operate within a range of 20% higher to 10% lower prices (based on demand) compared to where they were before starting.
Certainly! You can easily choose which hours your pricing strategies are active for, and the system will automatically detect and apply those hours, keeping your other business hours normal.
You have the choice to approve Sauce generated strategies, or to update them based on your custom parameters.
Prices typically update on your delivery platforms within minutes of a scheduled price change.
Sauce can update pricing on delivery channels (Doordash, Ubereats, Grubhub), POS (Toast, Clover, Square, Revel), and Aggregators (Chowly, Olo, Otter, ItsaCheckmate).

Sauce recommended pricing strategies usually end with 9, but you can adjust this preference on the platform.
The Sauce platform allows you to make informed pricing strategies at scale, and you can use the platform to implement and test new pricing strategies effortlessly.
Sauce requires integrations to 1) Read order information 2) Make price changes Some platforms (like Chowly, Olo, Otter, ItsaCheckmate) allow Sauce to do both through just one platform connection. For other configurations, Sauce may need to connect directly to your point of sale system (Toast, Square, Revel, etc.) to update prices and directly to your DSPs (Doordash, Uber Eats, etc.) to pull orders and metadata. If you want to view metrics like conversion rates & customer retention, you will need to connect Sauce directly to your third party DSP.
